Mamanbou is a Water-type Generation V Pokemon that will appear on Pokemon Black and White. Its classification is the Nursing Pokemon. It has the abilities Hydration and Healing Heart. It learns the moves Brine, Wish and a new one called Soak.
Appearance
Mamanbou appears to be a Pink Fish Pokémon with darker pink markings on its body and fins. Its main body is heart-shaped. It has large dorsal and anal fins, each divided into four sections and tipped with a pale pink color. It seems to lack a proper tail fin. Its eyes are round with a mark that appears to be an eyelash extending up and back, toward the rest of the body. Below the eyes are small dark pink marks. It is, however, NOT the evolution of Luvdisc as once speculated by players.

- It was revealed an Oha Suta preview of a trailer on July 21, 2010. It was officially revealed on the September issue of Coro Coro on August 8, 2010.
- Mamanbou appears to be a combination of a discus fish, an ocean sunfish, and a heart.
- Mamanbou could be derived from 翻車魚 manbou, the Japanese word for the ocean sunfish, and "Mama", referencing its status as the Nursing Pokémon.
- At first glance people will assume Luvdisc would evolve into Mamanbou
