Alex was the Character of the Day in AG009: Taming of the Shroomish!.

He lives in Rinshin Town, Hoenn, and used the land around the mansion to plant a forest for the Shroomish that formerly lived in the now-cut-down forests of Rinshin Town so that they had a place to live. He also looks like he should be president lol :P
