Alder is the Champion appearing in the Black and White series.

Biography

Season 14: Black & White

Alder was mentioned by Trip, who wanted to become the Champion and defeat Alder. Alder told him he should become stronger and challenge him one day.

Season 15: BW Rival Destinies

Alder was seen hitting on Officer Jenny, who refused his charms. He met Trip with the heroes, but he got their names wrong. Trip wanted to battle Alder, though Alder decided to battle Ash first. Alder, in the middle of the battle, fell asleep, causing his Bouffalant to become angry and attack him. Alder calmed Bouffalant down by giving him an apple, though Trip left, displeased about the Champion's behavior. When a Gigalith started rampaging, Alder stopped it and pointed out a nail got stuck in its leg. Afterwards, he wished the heroes luck in their adventures and left.

He returned during the Junior Cup and commented on many great battles. Trip was the winner of the Cup and, as a reward, could challenge Alder himself. Trip tried to attack Alder's Bouffalant quickly, but Bouffalant proved to be a very tough, enduring Pokémon and defeated Serperior with Head Smash.

		In Trip's flashback, it battled a unknown trainer's Herdier and defeated it with Head Smash. Later, Alder used Bouffalant to battle Ash's Pikachu, though he didn't really do any battling because Alder had fallen asleep and hadn't given any commands. Bouffalant also appeared during the Junior Cup to battle Trip's Serperior.

Trivia

Alder resembles Brock in the fact that he was hitting on Officer Jenny, Nurse Joy, and Cynthia.
