Template:ChampionAlder (Japanese: アデク Adeku) is the Champion of the Unova Region. The player is rewarded 15,400 Poké Dollars for defeating him.

In the Japanese versions of Pokemon Black and White Alder speaks old fashion Japanese.
Alder looks to be the oldest Champion yet.
Alder looks to be the strongest Champion yet as well, considering all his Pokemon except Volcarona are Level 75. No other Champion's Pokemon has been such a high level, excluding the second round of facing Cynthia in Pokemon Platinum and also Red in Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. However this is likely because Alder is faced post-game, after all trainers available surpass the Level 60, whereas the top Level at the end of the game is 54, by Ghetsis's Hydreigon
He resembles a Native American chief and his hair resembles that of Volcarona.
Alder is the first Champion that is not battled the first time you defeat the Elite Four. Instead, you battle N and Ghetsis.
Alder's starter pokemon died from an illness and because of that he just walked to Unova aimless.
According to Ghetsis, Alder didn't win the place of champion, but the Elite Four asked for him to take the title.
Alder does not know how to use the PC-system, so he just carries all his nine pokeballs around his neck.
