Alain is a character who made his debut in the Pokémon special Mega Evolution I.

Biography

Alain is a Pokémon trainer with a goal to defeat every Mega Evolution that exists. He wears a band on his wrist which allows him to Mega Evolve his Charizard into Mega Charizard X. He is shown to be compassionate to young Pokémon trainers such as Mairin, much like Ash Ketchum. However unlike Ash, Alain is shown to be older with a more mature and serious nature when it comes to battle and prefers to travel alone.

Charizard carries Charizardite X around its neck for Pokemon battles to evolve into Mega Charizard X. He is very strong to take on other Mega Evolutions such as Astrid's Mega Absol and Remo's Mega Garchomp but lost to Elite Four member Siebold's Mega Blastoise.
