Biography[]

As Metang[]

XY116 10

Metang's Metal Claw and Noivern's Acrobatics clash.

Alain used his Metang in a battle against Ash Ketchum and his Noivern. Noivern used Acrobatics, while Metang used Metal Claw and the two attacks clashed each other. Metang then used Psyshock and Noivern countered that attack with Boomburst. After countering Psyshock, Noivern used Supersonic, which hit Metang, but despite getting hit by Supersonic, Metang was able to counter Noivern's Acrobatics with Psyshock. Noivern was hit by Psyshock and Metang used Meteor Mash, but Noivern was able to dodge the attack. Noivern used Boomburst, which was able to land, but Metang quickly recovered, thanks to its type, from the attack and used Metal Claw, clashing with Noivern's Acrobatics. An explosion happened, due to the clash, to which after the smoke fade away, Noivern was defeated by Metang's Metal Claw.[1]

As Metagross[]

Sometime later, Metang evolved into Metagross and was seen on the screen board during Alain's battle against Remo in the semi-finals of the Lumiose Conference. Clemont noted how Alain used Charizard and Metagross until they won the place in the Kalos League Finals.[2]

XY130 19

Metagross attacks Pikachu with Metal Claw, pushing him to the limits.

Metagross was later used to battle Ash in Alain's six-on-six battle in the finals. It went up against Ash's Pikachu. Metagross increased its speed with Agility, to evade Thunderbolt, and damaged Pikachu with Metal Claw. Next, Metagross encased Pikachu with Rock Slide and while Pikachu got out, he got hit by Metagross' Meteor Mash. The battle got turned around as Pikachu hit Metagross with Electro Ball to intercept Meteor Mash. After this, Pikachu jumped on Metagross and used Thunderbolt for a long time on it. Eventually, Metagross managed to throw Pikachu off, but it was already heavily damaged. Pikachu, while still in the air, used Iron Tail on Metagross, defeating it.[3]
