Agatha's Gengar is Agatha's main Pokémon.
Biography
Games
Agatha owned a Gengar in all main Pokémon games. It debuted in Pokémon Red and Green, being at Lv. 56 and knowing Confuse Ray, Hypnosis, Dream Eater and Night Shade.
Anime
Main Series
In anime, when Ash came to Viridian Gym, he faced Agatha's Gengar, using Pikachu against it. However, Pikachu was defeated.
Manga

Yellow arc
When Blue went to rescue a boy's Haunter, Agatha waited with her Ghost Pokémon. When Blue came, she put him to sleep and had Gengar use Dream Eater on him, but was quickly defeated.
Afterwards, Blue worked with Koga and knocked down Agatha, who sent Gengar, who shifted between shadows to defeat them. Blue made a strategy, flashing out light to reveal Gengar and defeat it.
