Aftermath (Japanese: ゆうばく, Hepburn: Induced Explosion) is an ability introduced in Generation IV.

In battle[]
Whenever a Pokémon with Aftermath is knocked out with a move that makes contact, the Pokémon which knocked it out will receive 25% of its own maximum HP in damage. Aftermath will not activate if there is a Pokémon with Damp on the field.
Trivia[]
All Pokémon with Aftermath can learn Explosion.
Dual-type Pokémon have Aftermath as a natural ability, but Pokémon with only one Type has it as a hidden ability.
