Eight Ain't Enough (Japanese: ルネジム！水のアーティスト・アダン！（後編） Sootopolis Gym! Juan, Artist of Water! (Part 2)) is the 19th episode of Pokémon: Advanced Battle.
The final battle for Ash's final badge continues as he has managed to beat Juan's Sealeo and Seaking. Now he must contend with the rest of his Pokémon, like Luvdisc who used Sweet Kiss to confuse Grovyle. With two Pokémon left against Juan's three, will Ash be able to win his final badge or will he be washed away with the tide?
Grovyle is under the effect of Luvdisc's Sweet Kiss. He bashes himself on a column, as it is confused, despite Ash warning him not to. Luvdisc attacks him with Water Gun and is defeated before Ash could have done anything. Ash calls Grovyle back, as Juan tells him he will have a hard time battling in Hoenn League. Ash sends Corphish. Meanwhile, Jessie and Meowth (disguised) advertise Juan's performance (who is actually James). 3 ladies come and one of them saw in newspaper Juan has a Gym battle. James (who acts as Juan) tells them he fought with the challenger and Juan won.
Corphish uses Bubble Beam, though Luvdisc evades and counters with Water Gun. Luvdisc then uses Sweet Kiss, but Corphish dodges and attacks with Bubble Beam, but misses when Luvdisc dived into water. Corphish uses Crabhammer on the water and Luvdisc flies into mid air. Corphish goes to grab it with ViceGrip, but Luvdisc even then moves away. Brock tells May and Max Luvdisc has an ability called Swift Swim - when it rains (and it does when Corphish sprayed the water) Luvdisc is much faster than usual. Luvdisc attacks with Water Gun, but misses, so Corphish uses Bubble Beam on the mist. Luvdisc has its speed reduced, so Corphish charges with Crabhammer, defeating Luvdisc.
Juan sends his fourth Pokémon, Whiscash. Ash decides to keep Corphish, so Corphish starts with Bubble Beam. Whiscash surfs and uses Rock Smash - Corphish did not do any damage and it got defeated immediately. Team Rocket has their performance - Juan (aka James) sprays a bit of water (while Meowth pumps it). The visitors are not amused, but Jessie tells the ladies Juan will be able to be pictured with them soon enough. For his next Pokémon, Ash sends Swellow. Swellow charges with Quick Attack, but Whiscash stops it with its moustache. Whiscash then tickles Swellow (much to May, Max and Brock's surprise) and follows with Hyper Beam. Swellow is bashed (and an object falls down), but Swellow stands up.
Swellow uses Aerial Ace, while Whiscash dives in. Swellow goes in water as well, attacking Whiscash. Whiscash uses Hyper Beam (maintaining balance using its moustache), but Swellow dodges with Quick Attack. Swellow uses Aerial Ace and Whiscash dives in the water, but after a moment, Swellow is not defeated, while Whiscash is. Juan is very impressed by Ash's skill and has one Pokémon left, but Brock reminds May and Max Pikachu and Swellow are a bit exhausted from their previous battles. For his final Pokémon in final round, Juan sends his ace - Milotic. Swellow goes to attack, so Milotic uses Hydro Pump. Swellow dodges and attacks it with Aerial Ace.
Milotic seems unscathed and uses Iron Tail, so Swellow projects illusions of itself with Double Team. However, Milotic them uses Twister, banishing all illusions and bashing and defeating Swellow. Ash's only Pokémon left is Pikachu, so sends him. Ash remembers well that Juan told him he will block any electric attack, so Ash orders Pikachu to use Thunder, hoping a more powerful electric attack will do. It hits Milotic and hurts it pretty badly, but Milotic uses Recover, healing itself. Jessie tells the fans Juan will give the autographs, but if they pay, shocking them. However, to get their attention, Jessie tells them if they buy 3 autographs, they need to open a bag to get a Juan posing. Team Rocket walks away, as the fans see some bottle caps instead, so they realize that is not the real Juan. One fan sends Blastoise and uses Hydro Pump to blast them off and get their money back.
Pikachu and Milotic use Iron Tail against one another, though Milotic's attack is much stronger. Then, Milotic uses Twister, bashing Pikachu. Pikachu frees himself with Thunder and charges towards Milotic with Quick Attack. Juan is amazed how Pikachu had so much energy, so orders Milotic to use Hydro Pump. Pikachu evades and hurts it with Thunderbolt. Milotic recovers again, but Max tells May Milotic does not recover completely. Pikachu is exhausted already and Milotic dives. Ash thinks what to do and thinks of something. Milotic uses Iron Tail, but misses, so Pikachu goes near Milotic. Milotic tries with Hydro Pumo, but Pikachu evades and flips Milotic into water. Next, he attacks it with Thunder, brightening the water and defeating Milotic definitively. Brock tells May and Max water conducts electricity, so Pikachu being near Milotic was a definitive win. Juan calls Milotic back.
Juan tells Ash he turned a seeming loss to victory. As his token of impression, Juan gives Ash the eighth and final badge - the Rain Badge. Juan tells Ash he is allowed to compete in Hoenn League. Juan's butler, Sebastian congratulates Ash's victory and tells him that the Hoenn League will be in 3 months in Ever Grande City. Juan tells May in Pacifidlog Town is also a Contest, where May will get her 5th, final ribbon. So, Ash and May know what they'll do.
