Where's Armaldo? (Japanese: ドクター・モロボシの島!!化石ポケモン現る!!, HepburnIsland of Dr. Proctor! Fossil Pokémon Appear!!) is the 10th episode of Pokémon: Advanced Battle.

Episode Plot

The gang reaches Whales Island. Brock tells them it is a Preserve untouched over a millennia. May and Ash train their Bulbasaur and Pikachu. May comes to Ash with good news - Bulbasaur learned Petal Dance. Bulbasaur uses Petal Dance on the incoming waves, making a hole in them. Max gathers wood and hears something. A thing comes from the bush, going away as Max screams in fear. Ash, Brock and May come to see what happened. Max saw a giant Cradily, to which Brock finds untrue - Cradily and their pre-evolution from, Lileep, are rarely found, even as fossils, as they are extinct.

They hear something - a Breloom passes by. May thinks he saw a Breloom instead, but Max runs away to find the Cradily. Max goes away, but notices a big building near. He goes to the window and sees many computers, a lab of some sort. Inside, he finds some Lileep. A man comes, telling him that it is restricted property. As May, Brock and Ash go to find Max, they spot something behind them - the Cradily Max was talking about. A woman comes, revealing to be the one who is in charge of Cradily. She spots the gang, so introduces herself as Annie. The gang tells her they are looking for Max, so Annie tells them he must be at the lab.

At the lab, the man spots the Cradily, telling it must not be wandering around like that. Max and May reunite. Annie introduces the man as her husband, Prof. Proctor (making Brock sad by that fact). Max points the Lileep in an exhibition. Annie tells them they were cloned from fossils. The Professor tells them it was his dream to revive those Pokémon. Team Rocket spy on them, wanting to catch them. The Professor tells them that the island was inhabited by Anortih and Lileep, and it was connected to the land. They see that Anorith and Armaldo ate some fruit from trees, which seemed a part of their diet. Next, the sea rose, so the island was formed and the Pokémon became extinct. The last step is to use the machines to bring Lileep and Anorith from the fossils to life, so it can become the amusement park.

The gang promises to keep this as a secret. Team Rocket overhears that, and as usual, Meowth makes a fantasy about his boss having Anorith and Lileep, so they go to capture them. Annie tells her husband an Anorith will evolve. Everyone sees the evolution - Anorith becomes an Armaldo. Team Rocket appears, capturing Armaldo in a net. Armaldo cuts the net and attacks them with Hydro Pump. Ash encourages Armaldo, but it starts attacking everything and runs away. As the gang goes to get it, Annie mentions it was a bit wild, although it wouldn't do something like that.

Armaldo eats some fruit, but spits them. The gang comes to get Armaldo back. However, it attacks them with Hydro Pump, so they hide before the attack. Pikachu comes to persuade Armaldo. May sends Beautifly and Brock his Forretress. They all go to convince Armaldo, but the only reaction they got was an attack from it. Armaldo eats an apple and spits it. Ash has not much choice, so sends Corphish. Corphish uses Crabhammer, but Armaldo pounds it. Corphish attacks with BubbleBeam, though Armaldo counters with Hydro Pump, defeating it. Armaldo digs, going away. Professor thinks that Armaldo is searching for something, but not apples.

He tells them it are the berries it is looking for - everything else tastes bad to it. They know that such berries exist at the end of the island. Armaldo digs out and goes for the berries, but they also see Team Rocket with the machine. They take Armaldo inside the machine. The gang intimidates them to get Armaldo back, but Team Rocket goes away to the lab to steal other Pokémon. Proctor is angry, so goes on the machine. Armaldo tries to get out, but with no success. Proctor tells Armaldo he is going to get it out, somehow. Team Rocket hears this, so the machine moves left and right to get Proctor away, but with no success. So, they use the machine arm to throw him away.

Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but no effect. May sends Bulbasaur, who uses Petal Dance, but the attack is reflected. However, the attack is redirected to a mountain, so rocks fall down, forcing Meowth to turn around, but the machine trips over. Max spots the bottom being just ordinary metal, so Armaldo cuts through, much to Team Rocket's displeasure. Team Rocket says it is not over yet - Meowth goes to attack Armaldo with Fury Swipe, though his claws are broken by Armaldo's Rock Blast. Bulbasaur knocks Meowth with Petal Dance and Pikachu blasts them off with Thunder. Armaldo eats the berries, becoming much happier. Proctor tells it became the part of the family. Max is amazed by Bulbasaur's Petal Dance, so May decides to use it in her next Contest.
