Fight for the Meteorite (Japanese: マグマ団VSアクア団、再び!えんとつ山の戦い!! Team Magma VS Team Aqua Again! Mt. Chimney Battle!) is the 14th episode of Pokémon: Advanced Challenge.

Episode Plot

The gang is running to go to the station to go to Mt. Chimney, then to Lavardige Town. Ash is excited, but his friends are tired. Team Rocket (disguised) runs towards the cable cart, to get in as well. A man is looking for a rock, presuming to be a researcher. The gang is astonished by the view, but Team Rocket has their own plans...

Jessie will act as a tour guide for Mt. Chimney. Max replies they did not hire guides, but Meowth (dressed as a lady) replies this day they are doing for free. A plane passed by the cable cart, so Jessie continues to explain the area. The researcher spotted something on his machine - a meteor. Behind him, however, the plan that passed by lands. The men go out - by the color of the clothes, they are Team Magma. The leader demands the meteor, but the researcher refuses to.

Jessie explains the area, but another plane heads towards the mountain. The leader of Team Magma intimidates the researcher, but the grey plane has arrived - they are Team Aqua. A part comes to the control room - Crawdaunt is sent and uses Bubble Beam to attack the guards. The man turns off the switch, so the cart where Team Rocket and the gang are stopped. Brock asks the tour guides if they have a cell phone, but they deny. However, Brock sees a phone in the cart and calls the control room, but nobody answers.

The gang realizes they are trapped, but Jessie yells on the phone, banging and destroying it. The gang suspects something odd about them, so Team Rocket undisguised themselves. Team Aqua arrived to get the meteorite, but Team Magma send their Pokémon, but so does Team Aqua. The researcher escapes, so both teams deploy their troops to go after the researcher. Team Rocket finishes their motto, but are not amused when the gang did not listen - they plan to get out of the cart.

Brock tells them if they were to fight, the cart would be blown away. Ash finds rope, so Ash ties the rope to the end of the cart and the cart tower. Meowth is impressed by the courage, but Jessie isn't - she jumps on the rope, but soon finds herself needing to be rescued. James and Meowth jump to rescue, but they also need to be rescued. The rope breaks, so Ash needs to find help for Team Rocket and his friends.

Crawdaunt attacks Mightyena with Bubble Beam, so Mightyena attacks them. Golbat use Air Cutter, defeating the Team Aqua, so they retreat. Team Magma prepare a rocket for a launch. Ash goes upwards the hill, but the researcher knocks him out when he runs. They hide and Ash identifies the men to be Team Magma. May wonders if anyone has food, so Brock offers sandwiches to eat. Team Rocket appears to be hungry, so the gang offers them food as well.

The researcher introduces himself to Ash - his name is Cosmo. He researches meteorites - rocks from outer space. Ash wonders why the stone is heavy, so Cosmo begins to tell that there are many things they do not know. The meteors that go towards the planet burn, become smaller - meteorites. A Golbat takes the meteorite, giving it to Team Magma and they go away. The leader hears that the squad is sending the meteorite, so the cannon is prepared. Inside the cart, the gang hears the wind and the cart is being shaking.

Team Magma set the meteorite and activate the laser cannon, aiming at the volcano's lava. Ash and Cosmo split up to take the meteorite. Cosmo appears before them and throws a rock, so a part is detached to get him. Ash goes to open the cannon, but can't, so Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to open the chamber. The machine is overloaded and the leader sees Ash banging the cannon with the meteorite. The rest of the squad try to get the stone, but are electrocuted by Pikachu. The leader goes after the meteorite, but is tackled by Cosmo.

Cosmo pushes the cannon (with the meteorite inside) into the lava. The leader orders the men to retreat, since there is nothing else to do. Cosmo is troubled by the sacrifice. Team Aqua move out as well, but the leader is pleased knowing they foiled Team Magma's plans. Team Magma is also pleased when they foiled Team Aqua's plans. The rest of the gang is out of the cart, with Team Rocket going after Pikachu, but when Jessie's Wobbuffet has gone from Poké Ball, they fall down. Cosmo gives the gang directions to Lavaridge Town and wishes good luck to Ash in his Gym battle.
