Candid Camerupt! (Japanese: かちぬきファミリー!4VS4!!, HepburnKachinuki) is the 6th episode of Pokémon: Advanced Challenge.

Episode Plot

The gang continues to go to Fallarbor Town. However, the heat is terrible, so one by one falls down of dehydration. A Pokémon arrives, seeing them. The gang is seen inside a lodge, talking to the family that rescued them. The family mentions that the Camerupt dragged them to the lodge. The girl starts to like Max, and so does he her. The older woman has heard that Ash wants to compete in the Hoenn League, so she mentions that their eldest son left two months ago and became the Champion. Team Rocket wanders, but they fall down as well. The man arrives and offers them food.

Team Rocket wonders why he is wandering so he tells he left his home to become a Champ. However, he didn't as the battles are not for him. The man cannot go in either direction - but James offers him to tell his family, but man is skeptical, as "he didn't meet his grandma". The gang is grateful and offer assistance. The family wants to battle them! Their son, Vito, left, so battling one another seemed boring after some time, so they want to battle them instead.

The older woman proposes 4-on-4 battle, but the gang denies, as Max does not own Pokémon. However, Max would like to lend one of Ash's. The family - Victor, Victoria, Vivian, Vicky - battle for their family member, Vito. Victor goes after Brock. Victor brings Zigzagoon, so Brock starts with Mudkip. Mudkip uses Water Gun, but Zigzagoon (in last moment) evades. Zigzagoon uses Thunderbolt (much to everyone's surprise), defeating Mudkip in an instant. Vivian explains that Zigzagoon was taught the attack to power the generator.

It is May and Victoria's turn. Victoria brings Roselia (to which May makes a flashback when she battled Drew), while May brings Beautifly. Beautifly uses Gust, overpowering Roselia. Beautifly uses Silver Wind, defeating Victoria. The 3rd battle is on - Vivian brings Marill and Max Corphish. Max begins to tell Corphish his strategy, but Corphish rushes in and defeats Marill. Vivian is crushed, so she does not like Max anymore.

The last battle is Ash vs. Vicky. Team Rocket and Vito appear behind the house. Meowth yells, but Vito calms him down. They look inside the house, finding nobody present, but Vito suspects they might be on the battlefield. Vicky sends Camerupt, while Ash Piakchu. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, hitting Camerupt, but not damaging it, as it is Ground-type partly. Pikachu uses Quick Attack, knocking Camerupt. Caerupt uses Sandstorm and then uses Take Down. However, Pikachu retaliates with Iron Tail, damaging Camerupt. Vito, who is looking from above and his family put some safety hats, as Camerupt begins to be super-angry.

Meteors from Camerupt start erupting, so everyone starts to run. Team Rocket is hit, so they go away. Camerupt goes after Pikachu. Piakchu slips, making Camerupt going to destroy their house. Vito has no choice - he sends Alakazam and uses Rain Dance, calming him down. Vito wonders where Team Rocket went, but then sees them on a balloon. They capture Pikachu using a mechanical hand. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but the arm is Electric-proof. Vito blames himself for the trouble they cause, so Alakazam uses Psychic, smashing the arm and putting Pikachu back to ground.

Team Rocket uses another arm to steal Pikachu, but Vito sends Swellow to use Wing Attack, blasting them off. Grandma tells the gang that a gentle soul helped them out and tells that she meant best for Vito. Vito goes away, promising that the next time he comes, his dreams will be fulfilled. The gang is leaving, quite fast as the Camerupt starts becoming angry once again.
