Changes: RS019: Sharpedo Attack!

Sharpedo Attack! (Japanese: 脱出！サメハダーの島！！, Hepburn: Escape! Sharpedo's Island! ) is the 19th episode of Pokémon: Advanced.

Synopsis

After the incident with the Team Aqua agent and with Peeko safely returned to Mr. Briney, Ash and co set sail for Dewford Island. All is not calm on the way there however as a school of Sharpedo suddenly attack Mr. Briney's boat. Not to mention tear up a part of May's new swimsuit. Now how will Ash and co. get to Dewford with all the Sharpedo in the way? Is this going to be like "Jaws" all over again?

Episode Plot

The boat goes to Dewford Island, with the sea being quite beautiful. Ash's going to have his 2nd Gym battle. May brings her Torchic and Wurple, Ash his Taillow and Treecko and Brock his Forretress and Lotad as well. Team Rocket is going to follow them in a Magikarp-like-submarine, too.

The Pokémon are having fun, so May proposes to go swimming. Ash is against the idea, but seeing his Pikachu asleep and with Max's advice, he agrees to do it. The boat turns to the island where they'll have a time off. However, something is moving towards them. Brock asks which island it is, but Briney replies that the island has no name. May runs off in her swimsuit that she bought in Rustboro City.

Max goes into the water as well. Brock asks who's going to get into the water, to which all agree, except Torchic. May and Max are in trouble, since a school of Sharpedo attack them. Max and May grab Peeko to go away, with Ash's Taillow attacking them. A Sharpedo attacks Max, roughing him. May and Max came to the deck of the ship, but the Sharpedo have damaged May and Max's swimsuits. The Sharpedo attack Briney's boat, making everyone losing their balance.

The gang (that night) is having dinner, eating Brock's food. Briney explains that some Sharpedo are acting as lookouts for the incoming battles. Brock and Briney also explain that the fact Sharpedo are organized is quite odd, considering Sharpedo act independently. Ash thinks they should be battled, but Max reminds him that they only got eight Pokémon. Brock thinks that the largest one should be battled, as it acts as their leader. Team Rocket arrived near the island, but soon found out they are attacked by Sharpedo. Jessie brings her Seviper and it uses Poison Tail, damaging a Sharpedo. However, Sharpedo use Quick Attack to blast Team Rocket away.

The gang formed a plan - Taillow and Peeko pull Ash and Pikachu on a can, taunting the Sharpedo. When the Sharpedo go away (except a lone one), the others pull the rope, bringing a wooden fence. However, the Sharpedo attacks the fence, making May fall into the water. Sharpedo charges towards May, but Brock brings Lotad, stopping the attack and May returns to the coast. Ash comes to the coast as well. Lotad uses Water Gun, although Sharpedo bit him before.

Surprisingly, the Sharpedo falls. Max suspects that it might have battled before from Tentacruel, as Brock suspects it is poisoned. Brock gives Sharpedo some food and everyone goes to sleep. In the morning, the Sharpedo awakes, becoming angry, but seeing Brock asleep onto him, he becomes less angry and sleeps again. The fence breaks itself from the Magikarp submarine and webs take Ash's Pikachu and Sharpedo. Brock explains to Team Rocket that Sharpedo's been poisoned to which Jessie says that the Poison Tail from Seviper "worked just fine". Lotad snuck up on the submarine and uses Razor Leaf to free the Pokémon.

Pikachu is about to use Thunder, but Ash cancels the attack, since the school of Sharpedo are behind the submarine, using the Quick Attack to blast them off. The Sharpedo arrive to Brock, thanking him. The gang arrives to Dewford City on the Island and they wave goodbye to Briney and Sharpedo.
