Tree's a Crowd is the 7th episode of Pokemon: Advanced Generation.
Deep in the woods, Ash spies a Treecko. He's wanted to catch a Treecko since he first saw one at Professor Birch's laboratory. He follows the Treecko to an enormous tree that seems to be dying. There, Ash's Treecko has an argument with all of the other Treecko. It seems that Ash's Treecko is very attached to the tree and wants to stay with it, while the rest of the clan wants to move on to a new tree. Ash watches as the lone Treecko struggles to save the tree. He and Pikachu feel badly for the Treecko and try to help. In the end, however, the tree dies and falls. Now that its home is gone, Treecko is ready to make a new home with Ash. He and Pikachu battle, and Ash catches his Treecko!
Max argues with May that they have lost themselves in the woods. May states that the Poke Navigator should show the right way, but it is out of energy. Brock says that Ash, Misty and him have lost many times and haven't made a single fight about it. Still, that does not amuse May or Max.
Ash spots something moving in trees, revealing to be a Treecko. Ash throws the Pokeball to catch it, but the Treecko deflects it with his tail. May then says what Ash said to her: one must weaken a Pokemon to catch it successfully. Ash then tracks the Treecko who gets away. May then catches up to Ash, with max and Brock following her. Ash runs and sees an enormous tree, but falls down, tripping over a root. They notice that it has no leaves, but a Treecko throws a stick near them. Ash challenges the Treecko to a fight, to which Treecko climbes the branches and spits the stick from his mouth to Pikachu and attacks it with its tail. Pikachu knockes himself out, while the Treecko taunts him.
Pikachu strikes more and more, while Treecko evades the attacks, until it attacks (again) with his tail. Team Rocket spot the battle and dream how their boss, Giovanni, would live with the Treecko - being waken up by Treecko's tail, being massaged by Treecko etc. More Treeckos appear, with an elderly one approaching the one who fought Pikachu. The younger then pushes the elderly one away. Mewoth then translates what the elder one says - the huge tree will die if he goes stays. The younger replies that the he was born and lives among the tree's branches. James and Meowth begin to cry, but Jessie isn't amused - to her, life is exchanging old for new things.
All Treecko leave, except the one who fought Pikachu, so Team Rocket plan to take the Treecko away. The Treecko goes away in other direction, so Ash plans to catch it by waiting among the branches. May, Brock and Max then have lunch, having no idea what Ash and Pikachu are doing. Ash then has an idea - he brings Taillow so that Taillow will bring Brock, May and Max while he waits for Treecko. The Treecko comes with water, giving the water to the tree and setting a bush near the tree. Treecko repeats the proces several times again, with Ash and Pikachu watching it doing.
Ash and Pikachu then help the Treecko do that process. When they are coming back, the tree begins to shake - Team Rocket are taking the Treeckos away! The machine knocks Ash and Pikachu, whiel Team Rocket depart with their ballon with the Treeckos. Piachu uses Thunderbolt, but Team Rocket have an anti-electrical ballon, which means they capture Pikachu. Treecko climbes and attacks the ballon with a stick, but without effort. James brings his Cacnea out to attack, but Treecko goes away. Treecko then jumps and attacks Jessie, and she accidentaly presses a button to release the Treeckos. The Treeckos are rescued, and the Treecko taunts Cacnea, so the Cacnea accidentaly destroys the baloon. Pikachu and the Treeckos fall onto a tree before Team Rocket's baloon blasts off.
The elderly Treecko then apologises to the Treecko by waging his tail to the other one. Suprisingly, the giant tree splits itself in half, but the Treecko push the tree not to fall down. However... the sun rises, and the tree shapes itself anew. It grows the seeds, which fall down, causing new trees to grow out. However, it turns out that the tree splits itself and destroyes itself. The Treecko then tackles Ash and Pikachu, wanting to fight them. Brock, May and Max arrive to witness the battle.
Ash orders Pikachu to use Thunderbolt, but the Treecko evades all the attacks. One hits it, but the Treecko still stands strong. Pikachu uses Quick Attack, but as the treecko dodges, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, defeating the Treecko. Brock explaines that when Treecko was in air, the Thunderbolt had much more effect. Ash throws the Pokeball and catches the Treecko. Ash releases the Treecko, and the elderly one gives him one of the seeds from the tree. The Treecko then plants the seed and goes with the gang to Rustboro City.
- "You look like a Slugma!" - Max to May
- Oddly enough, May states that the Treecko is cute, while in Prof. Birch she said that it was creepy.
